Caregivers’ Support Group

The facilitators are Lisa Torre-Janssen and Mary Shapiro.

Lisa worked at the National MS Society on educational/social programs and directed MS self-help groups, and NMSS Case Management programs. She is Vice President at Always Best Care Senior Services, and Co-Chair of the Ocean County Caregiver Coalition. Facilitate The Monmouth county family/friend support group for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Mary joined the Senior Resource Team at Archer Brogan, LLP in November 2021. Mary has over 25 years of healthcare experience that includes acute rehabilitation, skilled homecare, hospice, and assisted living, Mary has also completed the coursework for the Certified Dementia Practitioner certification. Mary is co-founder of Straight Talk, a virtual networking group that offers education and resources for professionals across all industries, a co-facilitator of the Monmouth Ocean Network for Senior Service Professionals, and a member of the Ocean Regional Ethics Committee and Caring Connections NJ & PA.
