Patty Hewit

Patty believes the thing that sets Harrogate apart from every other senior living community is the staff. “The staff here is just fantastic,” said Patty. “They work tirelessly to make residents happy, and to make sure our community is the best it can be. The building and campus are beautiful, the dining experience is very good, the Wellness Center is invaluable, and the programming is exceptional. Whether you enjoy playing Bridge, are interested in singing in Harrogate’s chorus, or want to sit in the audience for the monthly podcast that is recorded here, Sharon Budde, our Director of Community Life Services, makes sure the monthly Activities Calendar has something for everyone! Harrogate has plenty of fitness classes for those that like that, and the concerts, trips, and entertainment are all wonderful. I personally enjoy the monthly trip to Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City. I never miss it!”

Patty makes it a point to volunteer at Harrogate. “I think Harrogate is terrific, and I want it to continue to be the best community it can be, so I serve on various committees. Over the years, I‘ve been on the Food Committee and the Marketing Committee. Currently I lead the Finance Committee for the Resident Council. I enjoy it!”

At age 99, Patty’s advice for living a long and happy life is quite simple. “Get on with it and get positive. Relax and enjoy what life gives you. I am very content living at Harrogate. There’s lots to keep me busy here, and I live close to my family, so I get to spend time with them as well. I am very lucky, indeed.”
