Life Care
Life Care.
Life-Changing.
By choosing Harrogate, you’re choosing more than just a place to retire; you’re choosing confidence and security for your future and peace of mind for you and your family.
As part of a Life Care Community like Harrogate, you’re creating a smart plan that ensures a solid financial approach to your future. You are assuring you have access to health care – including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and support in your apartment should you ever need it. And, in the event your spouse or partner ever needs care, neither one of you will have to leave the home and campus you’ve grown to love.
Replace Worry with Security.
As we age, it’s almost certain our health needs will change – and medical bills also will increase. Services such as skilled nursing and rehabilitation can be expensive, which is a stressor for many seniors and their families. Life Care at Harrogate means residents have protection if their health needs change.
Put simply, Harrogate residents don’t have to worry about the rising cost of health care, and they don’t have to worry about whether they will be able to receive the care they need.
How It Works
Regardless of where you live on campus, Harrogate is your home for life. That’s guaranteed by the Life Care entrance fee. If you do need home health care or skilled nursing, you don’t have to leave Harrogate to receive care. You have priority access to that care at manageable, predictable, lower-than-market monthly rates. And all on-site health care is guaranteed by your entrance fee. You pay a one-time entrance fee, a percentage of which is refundable if you ever leave Harrogate. The amount you pay for your entrance fee depends on the size of the residence you choose. Our estate planning options offer up to 90% refundability to you or your estate.
Your monthly fee covers nearly everything, including your interior and exterior maintenance, utility bills, meals, wellness plans, housekeeping, and use of every community service, amenity, and convenience (for starters).
The IRS says some of your entrance fees – and some of your monthly service fee – is deductible as a medical expense. And that’s true regardless of whether you receive health care services or not. Talk with your tax professional for all the details.
Life Care at Harrogate makes financial planning easier because your monthly fee will be both predictable and priced considerably lower than market rates if you ever need on-site care – for life.
